The R-300 utilises a brand new hybrid magnesium and aluminium drive unit for the mid of the UniQ, and a vented, stiffened aluminium dome tweeter. It also uses miniaturised version of the Z-flex rubber surround which helps to keep the mid driver very stiff. This, along with the tangerine waveguide, improves the uniformity of and helps to smooth out the high end response. It uses a combination of neodymium and ferrite magnets and is mounted within a die-cast aluminium chassis.
