It delivers sound that is bit-for-bit identical to the studio master at a bit rate of up to 18 Mbps. It also supports up to 8 full-range channels of 24-bit/96 kHz audio (although TrueHD can support more than 8 channels, HD-DVD and Blu-Ray standards limit it to 8) and extensive metadata including dialogue normalization and dynamic range control all through an HDMI connection. Dolby TrueHD is compatible with existing and future AV amplifiers/receivers. DTS-HD The PIONEER SC-LX86 has DTS-HD which has been selected as an optional audio technology for Blu-Ray Disc and HD-DVD.
